My MacchiatoBin board (SolidRun ARAMDA 8040 Community board) appears to have died. It does not boot, there’s no output at all on the serial console. I have had it since around September 2017
When it first died, there was a high-pitched whistling noise coming from somewhere on the board but now even that noise has stopped.
I have tried using different power supplies but it made no difference.
The single green LED on the board does come on when the board is powered up but that is the only sign of life.
Any ideas as to what is wrong/how to diagnose?
Have you tried contacting SolidRun with the same description?
Yes, I sent them an email on 25th September but I have not had any reply.
Yeah, they are not the fastest to respond sometimes. You may want to write to them again for a better effect.
What kerenel was your board last at?
I tried emailing SolidRun again on 24th October but still have had no reply.
My board was running the 4.4.52 kernel and I had a small cooling fan going also.
