We are trying to build openwrt from 17.10 release branch with github.com/MarvellEmbeddedProcessors/openwrt-dd.git -b openwrt_17.10_release repo.
Everything success and we got a image for Marvell ARMADA 8040,the boot is successful and when we try opkg update we got the below errors.
It seems the package urls are not available, can you guys please provide us the updated packages url for this architecture

I think there are 2 problems:
    the packages are now here
    https://archive.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/mvebu/generic/packages/
but I think you should get redirected
and if you try opkg print-architecture:

    root@OpenWrt:/# opkg print-architecture
    arch all 1
    arch noarch 1
    arch mvebu64 10

so you need mvebu64 architecture packages. Or am I wrong?

I am slowly building all possible packages here:
    https://github.com/multiflexi/EIT-Master_Thesis_project
but it is slow and tedious work because not all packages are possible to be build.

    Hi stamil,

this is expected behavior since the default package sources for OpenWrt development release are not hosted anywhere at the moment, whereas package sources for stable releases are hosted on official OpenWrt pages in binary format. Any packages that you wish to include in your OpenWrt image will need to be manually selected in make menuconfig interface.

This problem has been discussed in different part of this forum http://macchiatobin.net/forums/topic/install-linux-headers/. There is patch. I was unable to compile rtl8812au drivers but I compiled Aravis without problems.

The answer to you question is in the link I provided. Just use that patch and you can then build a .deb package with headers.
